140MT-C3E RC surge suppressor / varistor module. For Bulletin 100-C/140M contactors 24-500A, 100-240V AC coil protection, clips onto coil terminals.

Product Overview

The  140MT-C3E​ is a surge protective device (RC snubber / varistor module)​ designed to be clipped directly onto the coil terminals​ of Bulletin 100-C (IEC) and 140M (Motor Protector) contactors​ in the 24–500 A frame size range. It suppresses voltage spikes (inductive kickback) generated when the contactor coil is de-energized, protecting adjacent solid-state outputs (PLC transistors, SSRs) and extending contactor life. This variant is rated for 100–240 V AC coil voltages.

Note: For 24V DC coil​ contactors use 140MT-C3D​ (diode module — must observe polarity), for 380–480V AC coils​ use 140MT-C3F, and for 480–600V AC​ use 140MT-C3G. Installing the wrong voltage suppressor can result in overheating (undersized MOV) or insufficient spike suppression (oversized). Verify your contactor coil voltage marking before ordering.
