The Pepperl+Fuchs KFD2-STC5-1.2O is a signal conditioning module designed to interface with 2-wire or 3-wire SMART transmitters and 2-wire SMART current sources in hazardous areas. It provides isolated power and signal processing for analog input signals (e.g., 4–20 mA) from field devices such as temperature, pressure, or flow transmitters. The module features dual outputs (sink or source) and supports signal splitting (one input, two outputs). It is certified for use in SIL 2 applications according to IEC 61508 and offers high accuracy (±10 µA deviation) and line fault detection (LFD). Power is supplied via a 24 V DC Power Rail or terminals, and it mounts on a standard 35 mm DIN rail.
