The Pepperl+Fuchs NJ2-12GK-SN is an inductive proximity sensor designed for high-reliability applications in demanding industrial environments . It features a flush-mountable design with a nominal sensing distance of 2 mm and a cylindrical, threaded M12 housing .This sensor operates as a 2-wire NAMUR type with a normally closed (NC) switching function, and it is designed for use with a nominal voltage of 8.2 V . A key feature is its certification for use in hazardous areas, including Zone 0/1/20/21, and its capability for applications requiring up to SIL 3 (IEC 61508) .Built with a black PBT housing, the sensor offers a high IP68 degree of protection, making it resistant to dust and prolonged water immersion . It can operate effectively across a wide ambient temperature range from -40 °C to +100 °C . With a switching frequency of up to 2000 Hz, it is suitable for high-speed detection tasks .
