The MTL 4576 is a galvanic isolator and safety barrier designed to protect signals in hazardous areas. It is used to interface a 2-wire, 4-20 mA transmitter located in a potentially explosive atmosphere (Zones 0, 1, 2, 20, 21, 22) with control system equipment in the safe area. It provides intrinsic safety (IS) protection by limiting the energy that can reach the hazardous area, preventing ignition.
