Product Overview

The MTL 5516C is a dual-channel HART analog isolator that provides both intrinsic safety (IS) isolation and loop power for 2-wire HART field transmitters. It accepts a 4-20mA signal with HART digital communication from a smart transmitter in the hazardous area, provides IS isolation and conditioning, and delivers a replicated, isolated 4-20mA+HART output to the safe area, while also powering the transmitter loop.
